Who we are
The birth
Sapphira was born in 2022, from a breath of wind from the east that touches the ground, kissed by a ray of Italian sunshine.
When we see the flower blossoming on our land, we carefully select it and collect its pistils, taking care to choose only the best ones.
Our flowers bloom in Iran, in the Khorasan region, in the localities of Qa'en and Mahshad, areas universally recognized as the best in the world.
Our saffron is only the fruit of Nature, and of the hand of man.
For this reason, we voluntarily choose not to mix, modify or alter our saffron in any way: it is as nature gave it to us. For a unique, pure experience.
Our idea of quality
We want our saffron to meet the highest quality standards. To do this, we subject our pistils to careful periodic analysis, in order to keep the quality of the saffron under control.
For this evaluation there are three parameters to take into consideration:
- the bittering power (pyrocrocin)
- the coloring power (crocine)
- the odorous power (safranal)
These parameters are standard and evaluated on the basis of international ISO audits
